Hello, my names Dave and I am obese!
My current weight is 20 stone and I’m around 6 ft tall, which makes my BMI 36.95. That’s very in the red and means I could die from my excess weight, I don't think my fat will strangle me, well not yet! But it will all link to health problems in years to come. So I NEED to lose weight, how much I'm not sure. To get my weight into the healthy range the computer says 13 stone. That mean I need to lose seven stone - it’s a lot, like a full size girl! I have a big frame, so I'm not sure if 13 stone will be enough to cover it - but we will see. I'm not aiming to lose seven stone straight off, that unachievable. So how am I going to do - any ideas?
In the past I have tried everything, from diets to slim fast to not eating to excises and none have worked - why? Well maybe I have never had the will power to do it before, maybe this is the weight I should be - but I don’t think it is. I have made all the excuses to people before, I am losing it, there working well, just on a break now etc etc etc. I think this time I have the will power to lose it and get into a healthy shape.
So the plan, to eat healthy and excise. easy right. . . . . maybe not as easy or I’d be thin my now; I have not been under 19 stone in about ten years - so the first goal is 18 stone and 13 pounds. That’s an achievable goal, I think six weeks, so July 21th I need to be 18 stone and 13 pounds. How well I think a food diary, to monitor what I eat, and to start eating five fruit and veg a day, limit my red meat intake and stop eating junk food from take away! And to start excising - my aim is three times a week. And see what happens. I’m only going weight ones a week - on Fridays so to achieve my goal that’s 4-5 pounds a week.
So try and get a gym induction tomorrow and do a big healthy food shop tomorrow. May the games begin?
